Becoming a certified nutrition coach has really opened up my eyes to a new world that I didn’t know existed. There are so many different approaches and no right or wrong ways to do things,

it is all about mindset and what works best for YOU.

It’s easy to get sucked into the media and things you see online that claim to be the best when they’re really just a money grab. Drinking a certain packaged tea won’t magically make you skinny, a protein shake at the same time every morning won’t make you magically lose 10 pounds, and exercising three hours a day seven days a week doesn’t make you fit.

All of these things can be factors in your health and wellness journey but they are not magic and are not sustainable in the long run. 

We often need to switch our thoughts to get out of a negative mindset towards health and wellness and instead, think of small things each day that you can do and are sustainable, that will help you in the long run.

It’s important to remember that everyone goes at their own pace and living a healthier lifestyle is not a competition with anyone.  It is up to us to remind ourselves that our lifestyle goals should only be about ourselves, this helps protect us from falling into the rabbit-hole of comparison... which is not what a sustainable wellness journey is about.

The only goals we should have should be about ourselves.

*Lean Green Smoothie: This smoothie uses half the amount of banana for a lighter and fluffier smoothie, raw cacao nibs for a crunch factor without the added sugar, and spinach to sneak in those greens and a boost of vitamins your body will love! 

*House-made Paleo Granola: A combination of nuts and seeds mixed with a no added sugar monk fruit maple syrup and a dash of cinnamon, this house-made granola is gluten free, vegan, paleo, sugar free, and packed with omega-3s! A great substitute for our traditional granola if you have any food sensitivities or want an extra flavor boost.

*Green Machine Smoothie: A veggie packed smoothie with just the right amount of sweet and tart.
