the cafe where it all started just celebrated our five year anniversary on October 15th, I want to bring to light how amazing that is!
So many highs and lows but somehow we made it through and we will continue to grow for another five years and many more after that!
I would say the most important aspect to take away from the business in five years is consistency, which has been shown every single day by the owners and the crew who continuously stick by with every challenge.
Not only do you have the troubles that come with it all, including short staff, customer service industry, costs, and in the case of 2020 a global pandemic, but you have to know how to navigate the obstacles and if you don’t know well, fake it ‘till you make it. I think a lot of these things are easier said than done so for the business as a whole to not throw in the towel when it gets tough shows a lot of passion and dedication.
FIT BAR was founded on the idea of bettering ourselves and imbedding the Mindset, Nutrition, and Movement motto.
We know that in order to improve the other aspects of our lives we have to be in the correct mindset which means doing what makes us uncomfortable and often the hard work that it takes to improve ourselves. Without a positive mindset the rest will crumble, so having one provides you with a solid foundation to progress in all other aspects.
What we surround ourselves with and what we choose to fuel our bodies with can make or break our health which is why one of Fit Bar’s pillars is “Nutrition”.
Nutrition can mean a million different things, depending on the person, but I think we can agree that our nutrition should be one of our top priorities. It can be as simple as being aware of how certain foods and drinks make you feel. This is why our cafes exist, so that there is an escape for those who don’t know where to start with their nutrition and those who want to make a change but need a little guidance.
We pride ourselves on providing the cleanest ingredients that supply benefits, and not only are our products delicious but they make you feel GOOD.
Our final pillar, movement simply means moving our bodies because after all, that’s what they are meant to do. Just like nutrition, movement can mean a million different things you just have to find what works best for you and your lifestyle. Walking, lifting weights, hiking, yoga, and so much more improves your quality of life and benefits you in more ways than you think.
Investing in your health is the most important thing that you can do because movement leads to a clearer mindset and positive energy, the right nutrition fuels you for movement and naturally heals your body, and mindset powers all of these functions which is why Fit Bar stands by these pillars.
I personally have been with Fit Bar for almost two years now and I have never been more at peace with the path I am on. I am passionate about the work I am doing, my co-workers, and the drive and compassion that my bosses show day in and day out so I love being able to provide that to the public in healthy meals and positive energy. I hope everyone that stops by sees our vision and what we stand for and leaves with motivation to take the best care of themselves… and of course one of our famous acai bowls ;)
