Trendy whipped coffee!

Superfood Whipped Coffee.jpg

First of all, what is this whipped coffee that became viral overnight?!

Whipped coffee, aka Dalgona Coffee, is a popular South Korean drink that made its way to TikTok and gained its popularity by being super simple to make with only three ingredients:  1 tbsp instant coffee, 1 tbsp sugar mixed in 1 tbsp hot water and milk of your choice!

We thought to experiment with ingredients we have at the Fit Bar- Four Sigmatic coffee mix (either ashwagandha mix, lions mane, or chaga blend) and Lakanto granulated Monk Fruit with a little Milkadamia (or any of our plant based milks) and my oh my was it fantastic so OF COURSE we are sharing this goodness with YOU!

Coffee creates a great start to your day providing you with energy and alertness, however, for some the caffeine comes with the jitters and an  unexpected mid-day crash. Lion’s Mane, Ashwagandha, and Chaga support a balance to prohibit the caffeine to make you go below your baseline so you don’t get any crashes or nervous jitters-you get clean, focused energy! Lion’s Mane aids in cognitive health, Chaga boosts immunity by increasing your white blood cell count, and Ashwagandha creates a balance of the two functions. These adaptogenic wonders promote  the stabilization of homeostasis so you optimize your daily function to be the best you!

Incorporating adaptogenic mushrooms into your diet is so easy and you genuinely feel a difference. If you are new to adaptogens, we recommend adding them to your coffee and get in the habit of adding them into your morning routine so you can be set for the day! What a better way to experiment than with whipped coffee made from ingredients you can get at your local Fit Bar Cafe!

The original whipped coffee recipe has 13 grams of sugar per serving which makes for a great sweet treat, but we aren’t huge fans of gnarly blood sugar spikes so to keep our glycemic levels in control, we substituted regular sugar for Lakanto granulated monk fruit! This delicious sweetener has been used for centuries in Eastern medicine as a cold and digestive aid and makes for a wonderful sugar substitute with no calories, no weird after taste, and works fabulously in your whipped coffee and not to mention keto, paleo, vegan, and gluten free!
